To be eligible, films had to be shown in St. Louis, by 1) opening at theaters in St. Louis, 2) having a press
screening for area critics, or 3) being shown at the St. Louis International Film Festival. The deadline for screening
films for critics was December 21, 2006.
Nominees in the award categories were announced December 22, 2006. Additional, late opening films were
nominated from the floor during the vote. Nominated films were:
